Maël Hénaff is a French filmmaker and music producer who is currently based in London. He is passionate about exploring the connections between design, film, music, and technology, especially in the context of climate change. Maël leads the MA Material Futures course at Central Saint Martins and has collaborated with renowned studios. He examines speculative scenarios and explores how technology can be hacked and democratised.
Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with esteemed studios like Superflux and UP Projects, honing his skills and broadening his artistic scope. Maël's research has been showcased at the Design Museum London, Tate Exchange Tate Modern, Milan Design Week, and Dubai Design Week. Through his exploratory work, he delves into speculative scenarios, examining the hacking and democratisation of technologies.
